With a record car count that exceeded the IHRA/MOPAR National event weekend (350+) Grand Bend Motorplex was the place to be this Labour day weekend. Mother nature affected us big time Friday night and caused delays in starting each day but the great staff at GBM and the volunteers who helped us, allowed us to get going as quickly as possible. We were unable to complete Saturdays race as the dew made an early appearance Saturday evening but Sunday was successfully completed. The weekend featured Nostalgia Nitro Funny cars, with the Mac Attack car setting personal best runs of 5.75, 5.80 and 5.82 seconds all at 240MPH + the Leverich Top Fueler made some good runs, KC Jones Jet Trains put on an awesome side by side show and the Queen of Diamonds provided the speed with 3 runs in excess of 280MPH. There were some great CHAMPIONSHIP races in the  PMRA Pro Mods, NAPA Quick 32 Sportsman/Dragsters, PBSS Bike series, GBM Thunder series, GBM Extreme 32 series, GBM Junior series and the Hurricane Performance sleds, with some going right down to the last round.
